A new dog-grooming salon will open this weekend (January 23) close to Chiswick Park tube station.

Chiswick Park Pet Spa & Boutique takes over the Grade II-listed former Transport for London shop which formerly housed an antique shop.

Yvonne Kurt, who is a Chiswick resident and qualified dog groomer, decided to open her own business, having been involved as a partner in a dog-grooming salon in East Dulwich.

She changed careers some years ago, having spent over twenty years in office work and is looking forward to getting to know Chiswick dog owners and their pets. The new store will be a mix of both a grooming salon, and boutique.

Yvonne first applied for shop in December 2014, and it required a complete overhaul.

"I have had a beautiful shower unit built to wash dogs, and two custom made grooming tables are situated in the front of the shop so people can see the dogs being groomed," says Yvonne.

"My main ethos is to provide a cruelty-free groom for dogs with their well being, as the most important thing for me."

The shop will sell cat & dog collars, beds, leads, clothing, treats & gifts.
