The tenth Chiswick Dog Show will go ahead as normal this year, celebrating its tenth anniversary, Chiswick House has confirmed.

The popular event which is held on the cricket pitch at Chiswick House, drew a record entry of 500 dogs or all shapes and sizes last year. It will take place on September 28th.

It is understood the Trust expressed concern about the condition of the pitch as it wants to expand the number of cricket matches held there. It has asked the organisers to be very careful to protect the pitch from damage.

The matter was discussed at a meeting between the Trust and the show organisers recently.

A statement from the CHGT said: "The Dog Show will be celebrating their tenth anniversary at Chiswick House and Gardens Cricket Pitch as normal this year.

"The concerns that the Trust have expressed are to do with the damage to the cricket pitch from vehicle access by the stall holders. The Dog Show organisers are aware that they need to be very careful to protect the pitch as the Trust is very keen to encourage more cricket matches over the season."

A spokesperson for the organisers said the 10th Anniversary of the Dog Show will be going ahead on Sunday 28th September.

"We’re currently working on plans to make this an extra special show!"

Here is a reminder of some of last year's fun.
