Chiswick based songstress Sophia Rose had a busy week last week. First she appeared at Richmond Theatre as a Latino dance with in a solo singing spot along with a star studded cast from West End musicals as well as Charlie Brooks from Eastenders and Coronation Street's Peter Baldwin.

This was part of a Royal Gala Performance in aid of the Museum of Richmond in front of HRH Princess Alexandra.

The day after she was off to Leicester Square's Equinox Club where she appeared with her band "BnG" and sang and danced solo to raise money for children's charities. Sophia is delighted to be in so much demand, her debut single with BnG "Ray of Sunshine" will be released in January.

Sophia believes moving to Chiswick from North East Hartlepool has given her the lucky breaks with her career. Sophia who is studying at prestigious Sylvia Young School where she is completing her 5 year scholarship.

Her aims are to become a pop and dance performer although she recently gained top honours in her acting examinations. She hoping to follow in the footsteps of other "Sylvia Young babes" such as Emma Bunton, Denise Van Outen and Billy Piper whom Sophia is often likened to.

"My best Christmas present would be to meet Nikki Chapman and Simon Fuller of management 19" says Sophia "I would love to perform for them. My first ever professional performance was partnering Billy Elliot's, Jamie Bell when we were just 6 years old, in pantomime and the Director then prophisised that we would go on to see our names in lights. Well Jamie hopefully one day we may meet again soon!!!"
