Artists At Home with the crowds

Open studios event an unprecedented success

Derek Fletcher of Fletchers Estates says "what have Foxtons done to my sale board"*

Last weekend’s Artists At Home proved more popular than ever when even the heat wave didn’t prevent hundreds from visiting the open studios. The artists felt this year’s event had a ‘tremendous buzz’ and saw many new visitors as well as the steadfast ones from previous years.

As well as actual sales of paintings, sculptures, ceramics, textiles, photographs etc., the participating artists all benefited from the exposure, introductions to galleries and commissions and they are still contactable on the telephone numbers published in the Artist’s At Home booklet.

Joanna Brendon, coordinator of the event believes that the publicity given by media sponsors www.ChiswickW4.com and The Green, contributed greatly to the success of the weekend. She also wishes to thank Fletcher Estates, as well as local advertisers, whose generous sponsorship made the whole event possible.

Any artists wishing to be considered for next year should contact aah@joannabrendon.net or write to Joanna Brendon at 59 Emlyn Road, London, W12 9TG enclosing a couple of photos of work and a brief description. Similarly, any company wishing to advertising should also contact Joanna Brendon using the addresses above.
