An on-line auction of four works freely donated by Sir Peter Blake and his wife has nearly doubled the amount of money raised by the recent ARTAID event at Chiswick Town Hall.

A total of £2,000 was raised for the DEC Tsunami Fund from the sale of the donated items - the overall total for the artaid day was £4,107.

The organisers sent very many thanks to all who participated by coming along to paint or draw or by taking part in the auction.

ARTAID are holding another event on Saturday 12th February at Redleees Studios, Isleworth 11-6pm They will have a drawing-stall at the Valentine's Art Fair at Redlees Studios - Redlees is just off the A316 and 3 mins past the turning for Syon House. Check redlees.org.uk for directions. You can draw your Valentine's card and raise money for a good cause.

In April the organisers of British Crafts have kindly agreed to hold a silent bid auction of high quality craft work during the regular British Crafts Fair at Chiswick Town Hall.

ARTAID do have some paint and boards left and would love to hold another artaid painting day in Chiswick before too long - so if anyone has a free venue that could be used contact Susan Forsyth by e-mail on paint4places@yahoo.com.
