The Brentford and Chiswick Local History Society are hosting their next talk on 18 March, 7.30pm at the Chiswick Memorial Club, Bourne Place, W4 2EL.

London Stile was a hamlet on the Chiswick/ Brentford border, a landmark on the road to the West. It disappeared as the suburb grew and today only Stile Hall Gardens preserves the name. In this illustrated talk Janet McNamara and Val Bott will describe the houses and their residents, with a little Victorian scandal thrown in for good measure!
