British Airways is asking its staff to use their sales and marketing skills to help nominated charities through BApprentice - a special scheme created to raise money and increase the profile of worthy causes.

Two teams have been asked to go head to head in a charity auction and raffle on 1 December 2009. The team who raises the most money wins and the charities receive much needed support.

One of the teams has been tasked with sourcing their prizes in Chiswick.

The proceeds from this auction will all go towards Depaul the charity for young homeless people and the invaluable work they do day in and day out to assist those who need it most.

How you can help

Any auction is only as good as the lots on offer, so the team is asking locals to dig deep in providing the best, most original and valuable donations possible. Every penny raised will go to charity.

The team will be out and about in Chiswick between 23 and 27 November to collect the donations.
