Three local friends are holding a charity event on 13 of September for Kenya Children Centres. All proceeds are to be donated toward the orphanage they run for girls. The sale takes place between 1pm and 4pm.

For more information on the charity, see their web site.

The Kenya Children Centre provides a home for up to 80 orphan girls, as well as day centres in two slum townships, Madharau and Kivulini, where food, healthcare and nursery education is provided for about 300 destitute children and families.

The fundraiser will be in the form of a second-hand clothing sale, for which they have already collected a great selection of items.

There will also be wine, music, handmade postcards and other goods for sale.

The venue is in a converted furniture warehouse in a mews just off Turnham Green Terrace. It is neighbours with the new cafe Chief Coffee.
