As part of the ongoing Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, visitors to Chiswick House Gardens will be able to see an impressive collection of 10 metal heraldic beasts in the gardens; including a unicorn, red dragon and a stunning horse. The exhibition runs from June 20 -July 2nd.

The White Horse of Hanover by Tom Hiscocks

The artist, Tom Hiscocks has created the beasts from recycled metals including drink cans, bedsprings and car parts. The original Queen’s Beasts were made in plaster to represent the genealogy of the new monarch and to flank the Queen’s entrance to Westminster Abbey on her Coronation Day in 1953.

A children’s book has also been written and illustrated featuring The Queen’s Beasts. Tom Hiscocks, the artist will be selling and signing books during the installation at Chiswick House Gardens, check the website for book signing dates and times.
