Chiswick House and Gardens Trust are seeking Volunteer Rangers to assist their Ranger in the Chiswick House Gardens

You would need to work a minimum 4 hour shift patrolling the Gardens and to be the face of the Trust to the general public providing a reassuring presence in the Gardens.

Duties include:

  • Dealing with queries from the public ranging from opening hours, lost children and dogs, wildlife queries
  • Manning the ranger phone and responding to any queries
  • Providing a presence at Burlington Lane gate during the school leaving time
  • Patrolling the Gardens looking out for any problem visitors, litter, maintenance issues
  • Refilling dog bag dispensers at the various gates

Skills required -

  • Driving licence (you will need to complete a simple test to be able to drive the golf buggy)
  • Enthusiasm and knowledge of Chiswick House and Gardens
  • Approachable/friendly/Flexible
  • Can work independently. Problem solver
  • Interest in the wildlife in the Gardens
