Chiswick school girl Lara Farrell received her special prize last weekend of an afternoon's digging at the Chiswick House Kitchen Garden, and enough pumpkin to keep Cinderella in carriages until spring.

Lara was one of the winners of the pumpkin competition, correctly guessing that our biggest one was a massive 5 stone 9 oz or 36 kilo. Lara is an experienced Kitchen Gardener, having visited with her school, St Mary's RC Primary.

The second largest pumpkin was only 7oz less, guessed by Tom Campbell who hasn't collected his prize yet.

Another chance for him, and everyone else, to do some gardening on Sunday 6th January, 1-4pm.
