Chiswick House Trust has received a welcomed windfall for the restoration project in the form of a £75,000 donation.

A spokesperson for the Trust told ChiswickW4.com, “We are delighted that the House Festival held in the park in July raised £75,000 for the restoration project.”

The festival, organised by Soho House’s Nick Jones and hosted by Radio One’s Jo Whiley and Richard Bacon, was a great success enjoyed by over 3,000 people.

Guests enjoyed complimentary lobster, hog roast, oysters and champagne whilst listening to some of the UK’s hottest music talent.

This year’s line-up included The Hoosiers, Tom Baxter, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Will Young, The Kooks and The Sugarbabes, with the grand finale provided by The Feeling.

Celeb spotting revealed that Kylie Minogue, James May and Lawrence Llewelyn Bowen were among the revellers as were Anneka Rice, Matthew Wright, Angus Deayton and Jamie Theakston.

“The Trust is extremely grateful to Soho House for staging the Festival and to the various companies they engaged to sponsor it.

“We would also like to thank everyone that bought a ticket – both local and from further afield – for their generous support.”
