Before he jets off to receive his lifetime achievement award at the San Sebastian film festival, Sir Ian McKellen will be dropping into W4 to read extracts from the Ghost Hunter series as part of the the Chiswick Book Festival.

Written by Michelle Paver and read by the veteran British actor, the duo together create 'dazzling entertainment, seamless storytelling' with the sixth and final adventure in Torak's quest to vanquish the terrifying Soul-Eaters.

Both Sir Ian McKellen and Michelle Paver will be at St Michael and All Angels Parish Hall on Saturday 26th September from 10.30am.

The event is part of the Children's Book Festival which also includes Anthony Horowitz and Jacqueline Wilson.
