The deadline for entries to the Young People's Poetry Competition 2018 is now confirmed as Monday 4 June.

Entries are accepted with the application form by post only (not email).

Now in its eighth year, the Young People's Poetry Competition is free and open to children aged between 8-12 years.

Poems can be on any topic area: the only stipulations are that each poem should be the child's own work (with no parental help) and is limited to a maximum of 25 lines.

Poems should be hand-written, although typed copies are acceptable for Year 6 & 7 entries and in special circumstance.

You can write a poem at home, (or at school), about whatever inspires you.So pick up your pen this Easter and get busy writing.

Please send your entries to: Young People's Poetry Competition 2018, c/o Neighbour Net, The Courtyard, 4 Evelyn Road, Chiswick, W4 5JL.
