Lots To Do At This Year's Party On The Pier
Free boat trips, river dipping, canoeing and live music at the barbeque
Party on the Pier is taking place on Sunday 1 July on and off the river at Chiswick Pier.
The action all starts at 11.30am when the event officially opens, the first free boat trip sails, the Chiswick Canoe Club start their canoe taster sessions and Thames Explorer Trust meet up ready to take the children river dipping. River dipping can be rather muddy so please make sure the children are wearing covered in shoes and appropriate clothes. Meet Thames Explorer outside the Pier House.
There will be free boat trips aboard Princess Freda, a Dunkirk Little Ship, sailing from Chiswick Pier at 11.30am and then every 45 minutes throughout the afternoon.
You can also stroll round and browse a great selection of stalls and entertain the children with various games on offer. There will be freshly cooked food from the BBQ and a Fullers bar serving drinks . Hot and cold refreshments, cakes and ice creams are also available.
Relax and soak up the atmosphere by the river whilst listening to the ever popular band Shenanigans.
Amanda’s Action Club will be doing 3 interactive sessions with the children at 12.00, 1.00 and 2.30pm. Also there to keep the children happy is face painter Cheeky Chops.
