Chiswick Community Safety day promises to be a big draw with nearly 40 stands for the public to see how their area is kept safe.

On Saturday September 11th, organisations from across West London will be on Chiswick Common for the 2nd Chiswick Community Safety Day.

Between 10am and 4pm, there will be stands and events taking place that will showcase the work of community safety agencies working in Chiswick.

Ranging from the blue light services to local charities, the event will be an opportunity for local residents to see how much work goes into helping the local area.

As well as this, there will be stands from organisations helping young people, displays and competitions for visitors to watch and take part in.

The event will include stands from  the fire brigade, air ambulance, police, the local council and many more besides. Admission is free and there will be a live radio broadcast from the event.

Local charities will also be supported - The Dukes Meadow Trust, Meadow House Hospice, Age UK and the Tommy Hollis Fund will all be in attendance on the day

Organisations attending include:

  • Police - Stands from the local police teams, traffic police, the Met Police Historical Vehicles collection, Riot Squad, Mounted police and more
  • Chiswick RNLI
  • London Fire Brigade
  • Brentford Football Club
  • St John's ambulance
  • The HEMS Subaru rapid response car
  • British Army careers and cadets
  • Hogarth Youth Club - with demonstrations of music mixing, kickboxing and more
  • Transport for London - displays and stands
  • Hounslow Council - including trading standards, housing, emergency planning and more

The event will also feature and support a number of local charitable organisations

• Meadow house hospice in Ealing
• The Tommy Hollis Fund
• The Dukes Meadows Trust
• Supporting the run up to the London Week of Peace

As well as all this, there will be refreshments for sale, live broadcasts by Radio Jackie, competitions and sideshows.
