The Chiswick Recycling Action Group (CRAG) will be holding its first AGM at 7.30 pm on Wednesday 25th February at Meeting Room 3, Catholic Centre, Dukes Avenue, Chiswick.

Members will celebrate the first anniversary of CRAG with the launch of ‘The Chiswick Recycling Directory’ – a comprehensive guide to reducing the amount of rubbish we need to dispose of and how and where we can recycle things we don’t need any more.

Chiswick residents may well be surprised by just how much we can re-use and recycle in the local area and the interesting and practical ways that many materials and products can be re-used locally, nationally and internationally. In the future, instead of throwing anything away, residents will be able to check with the directory to see if an item can be recycled or anyone else can make use of it.

Once launched, The Chiswick Recycling Directory will be available from local outlets and from the CRAG stall at local events throughout the forthcoming year. Additionally, Chiswick residents can email: info@crag-online.org.uk or contact the Recycling Team at Hounslow Council on 020 8583 5060 to request a copy.

From the beginning of March, ‘The Chiswick Recycling Directory’ will also be accessible on the new CRAG website: www.crag-online.org.uk

CRAG will also be welcoming Councillor Ruth Cadbury as guest speaker at the AGM. Councillor Cadbury will be talking on a relevant recycling topic.

AGM Agenda:
1. Welcome and introductions
2. Activities over the last year
3. Financial statement
4. Guest speaker – Councillor Ruth Cadbury
5. ‘The Chiswick Recycling Directory’ launch
6. Refreshments

CRAG was set up in November 2002 by the London Borough of Hounslow’s Recycling Team. It is a group of Chiswick residents who are keen to get involved in projects that encourage more reusing, recycling and reducing of waste in the local area.

The group is open to everyone and new members are always welcome. Meetings are held once a month, on a Wednesday evening, usually at Chiswick Town Hall. Email: info@crag-online.org.uk, look online at www.crag-online.org.uk or contact the Recycling Team on 020 8583 5060.
