GRAFFITI CLEAN UP DAY NEXT SATURDAY

Police, Traders' Association and Council get together to clean up our streets

Before and after at Turnham Green Terrace following the last clean up day

On Saturday 21st September there will be another graffiti clean up day in Chiswick following the huge success of the previous event. The clean up day will commence at 8.30am and will be co-ordinated from a tent on Chiswick Common near Turnham Green Terrace.

Chiswick Traders Association have agreed to sponsor contractors & equipment and the police are are looking for people to help them on the day by cleaning grafitti from smooth surfaces such as lamp posts and street furniture.

They would also appreciate it if people could paint out any graffiti on their property before this date.

The partnership is looking for people to help out on the day and for businesses to clean their premises. Removal fluid, wipes, gloves tc. will be provided.

A successful clean-up on the 6th July 2002 removed fly posting and graffiti from Turnham Green, Grove Park Bridge, Stamford Brook Bridge and along the wall of Belmont School.
