Strand Sharks Triumph In 5-a-Side Tournament

Winning them the trophy in Grove Park's annual football competition

After four years of trying the Year 6 team from Strand on The Green School finally came good and won the Grove Park 5 a side football tournament this weekend with a thrilling 2-0 win in the final.

The event, held at Chiswick Community School on Sunday 18th May saw Strand's team Captain Ben Tait collect the trophy after real team effort.

Special mention should go to Strand players Daniel Bevan who scored six goals in seven matches, Paris Mason who was named “most valuable player", Toby Strange, Charlie Harris, and Brandon Mason.

Stiff opposition was provided by local schools St Mary’s, Latymer Prep, Ravenscourt Park, Grove Park School and Belmont.

The event was generously sponsored by Oliver Finn.
