groveSTOCK 2009 is an event for all who love to hear and play music. It takes place in the grounds of St. Paul’s church, Grove Park Road, Grove Park, Chiswick on Saturday 20th June 2009 from 2.00pm till 10.00pm. Tickets are £10 in advance or £15 on the day. Chiswick’s Got Talent will offer adults the opportunity to show off their talents in comedy or music. The prizes include a unique opportunity to perform at Jongleurs or Lock-Out Music. More information and entry forms can be found on the Chiswick’s Got Talent website at www.chiswicksgottalent.com.

The groveFACTOR talent showcase offers cash prizes. Students have the chance to perform: play a musical instrument or sing and receive advice from a panel of local high profile musicians, including West End musical director Michael Reed.

The Test Drive offers the chance to discover your hidden talent and try out a new musical instrument with the guidance of a professional tutor, be it guitar, drums, clarinet or tin whistle.

Ken Hammond’s BBQ experience will be sizzling all day.

  • Danielle Harvey – musical theatre singer
  • Andrea Black – singer songwriter guitarist
  • Tarrbaby funk-jazz-dance-grooves singer and instrumentalist
  • Victoria Wilkinson – classic jazz and contemporary singer

Throughout the afternoon our wandering clowns and magicians will entrance and delight your little ones in the children’s corner with tricks and games, face painting and a bouncy castle.

Chiswick’s Got Talent – Friday 19th June and live at groveSTOCK Saturday 20th 2009

We all know that talented someone just looking for their big chance. Now in Chiswick we’re offering exactly that with Chiswick’s Got Talent.

Entertainers or musicians are invited to enter talent contest and win a slot at Jongleurs comedy club or Lock-Out Music club.

Preliminary auditions take place on Friday 19th June before a panel of professional judges. Six lucky finalists will perform at groveSTOCK 2009 on Saturday 20th June before a discerning audience who will decide which act will win this coveted opportunity and a magnum of champagne.

St Paul’s church, Grove Park Rd, Grove Park, Chiswick on Friday 19th June at 7pm for the first round. Entry fee for contestants is £10 and this includes entry to groveSTOCK on Saturday. Audience entry on Friday night is free. Audience members and performers will receive a free glass of wine.

Contestants must be aged 16 or over. Audition slots on the Friday evening will be allocated on arrival. Entry forms together with entry fee (payable to groveSTOCK) must be received by 15th June. Participants must be available to compete in the final at groveSTOCK on Saturday 20th June.
