HELP AND ADVICE ON JUBILEE PLANNING

There will be an item on the agenda at the monitoring meeting on Thursday 7 March at the Parish Hall of St Michaels and All Angels Church about the Queens Golden Jubilee, and the opportunities available to local residents.

A representative from the Golden Jubilee Office will be on hand to answer questions and let people know what support is available and ideas about events

The Silver Jubilee on June 6th 1977 was surely the highpoint of the people's love of their monarchy. Queen Elizabeth II lit a bonfire in Windsor Great Park and the whole of Britain enjoyed a week of street parties to celebrate 25 years on the throne.

On June 3rd 2002 the Queen celebrates 50 years on the throne which will be marked by a public bank holiday for all in the UK. A new State Car will be built and given to the Queen from Bentley Motors. From May to July, Queen Elizabeth will travel as widely as possible around Britain. She will visit the armed forces in June and open the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in July.

Let us know if you are planning a street party in Chiswick and tell Streetparties.info for maximum exposure and further useful advice.
