CHISWICK BASED CHARITY LOOKS FOR HELP

The MicroLoan Foundation wants local people to offer skills or donations

"Can you help us open our office in Africa?"

The Micro Loan Foundation is a registered 'Grove Park' charity, entirely run by local volunteers, which provides modest loans of c£100 to the poor and disadvantaged in the Philippines. Over 80% are repaid in full.

Being self-sufficient provides a more stable and dignified life for the needy and the seedcorn money from a small loan can make the difference between poverty and a more sustaining and rewarding existence.

We are now planning a major expansion into Africa with our 1st office to be opened in Malawi this year. Our objective is to lend money to the many poor communities which are particularly vulnerable (17% are HIV positive) , their children and those who have been widowed or orphaned by AIDs. To achieve our goals we are going to need to bring in more local talents and of course, money.
