International rugby star Matt Dawson will be opening the Chiswick summer fair this year, which is set for Saturday 5th July from 11.30am to 4.30pm on Turnham Green.

This year will also see the return of donkey rides at the fair, which have been brought back due to popular demand, as well as the biggest ever kids corner. There will also be plenty of live entertainment with journalist Jeremy Vine and comedienne Sunna Jarman acting as MCs throughout the day.

With something for all the family, the fair will host a variety of activities, including an international food tent, raffles, auctions and a variety of stalls and entertainment.

“The fair represents what is great about our local community, with a network of volunteers that make it possible – which is why we are delighted that Matt, a Chiswick local, will be opening the fair for us. With all proceeds going to worthy local charities we hope that this will be our biggest year yet,” said Clare Muldoon, Chair of Chiswick Summer Fair.

Organised by Our Lady of Grace and St Edward the fair represents a coming together of the local community with volunteers and local businesses working together to ensure that all proceeds go to the charities that will be supported.

The charities supported last year were:

• Acton Homeless Concern – Emmaus House and Damien Centre, Acton
• Cedars Youth Centre
• Hounslow Siblings Group
• Food Bank
• Hounslow Night Shelter
• Mind Ealing
