Chiswick’s 'largest fair' is set for Saturday 5th July from 11.30am to 4.30pm on Turnham Green. Organisers are hoping to beat the 4,000 visitors and almost £30,000 raised for local charities from last year.

With something for all the family the fair will host a variety of activities, including an action packed children’s corner, international food tent, raffles, auctions and a variety of independent stalls and entertainment.

“The Chiswick fair is a wonderful opportunity to show what is best about our local community. A team of dedicated volunteers work tirelessly to make sure that the fair is a success and we rely on local businesses to give generously. And there is still time to get involved! We’d be delighted to have more volunteers and more donations,” said Clare Muldoon, Chair of Chiswick Summer Fair.

Organised by the parishioners of Our Lady of Grace and St Edward the fair represents a coming together of the local community with volunteers and local businesses working together to ensure that all proceeds go to the charities that will be supported.

For the first time this year local residents can nominate their favourite charity to benefit from the fair, scooping them potentially thousands of pounds.

The charities supported last year were:

• Acton Homeless Concern – Emmaus House and Damien Centre, Acton
• Cedars Youth Centre
• Food Bank
• Hounslow Night Shelter
• Hounslow Siblings Group
• Mind Ealing
