The War Memorial on Turnham Green has been spruced up in preparation for a series of events leading up to this year's Remembrance Sunday. The obelisk has been sand-blasted to ensure that it is in the best possible condition for the ceremonies that are due to take place in November.

There will be a Dedication of the Garden of Remembrance at 10.50am on Saturday November 5th. This has been organised by the Royal British Legion. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at Christ Church on Turnham Green at 10.50am. People will write the names of those they have lost on wooden crosses, which are put in the ground during the ceremony, making a garden of crosses.

Remembrance Sunday is on 13th November this year. A two minute silence will be observed at the War Memorial at 11am. There will then follow a special service at Christ Church.
