Comedy writer-performer Nelson David plans to have the people of Chiswick almost literally laughing in the aisles as he presents 3 Comedy Improvisation Workshops at St Michael and All Angels, Chiswick during September and October. The workshops are ‘open access’ which means they’re suitable both for performers wishing to hone their skills and also anyone who simply fancies ‘having a go’ and joining in the fun.

Nelson David explains: “20 years ago TV shows like ‘Whose Line Is It Anyway’ brought the previously obscure idea of ‘theatrical improvisation’ to a much wider audience. In recent years the formats have been undergoing a revival and the aim of these sessions is to make everyone feel welcome – whether they have previous experience or not.”

Nelson used to write extensively for TV and radio including shows like Spitting Image and The Big Breakfast but in more recent years he’s been writing and performing one-man shows for the theatre and also the occasional family show at the London Wetland Centre as part of their environmental education programme. He’s been teaching and performing Comedy Improvisation off and on for nearly 20 years.

The Workshops are on Thursday 15th September, Thursday 22nd September and Thursday 6th October, 7.30pm – 9.30pm in the Michael Room, St Michael and All Angels, Chiswick.

Cost : £10.00 per workshop.
