The St Michael’s Players’ summer production is to be their version of the 39 Steps.

Inspired by Hitchcock's classic tale and performed as a live, one act radio play; this romantic thriller is a fast-paced ride through the signature world of the Master of Suspense.

Richard Hannay is visiting London when he encounters a mysterious woman at a London music hall. Later that night Hannay is framed for her murder by foreign agents. Forced to flee he has his work cut for him as he attempts to evade capture, prove his innocence and ultimately reveal the truth about the 39 Steps.

Directed by Marc Pearce whose credits include sell out shows, The Ladykillers, Cinderella and Aladdin. With new and familiar faces taking to the stage, St Michael’s Players transport you to 1940’s radio station SMPR.

It is being performed at St. Michael’s Church Hall from Friday 29 – Saturday 30 June with tickets at £9 or £7 for concessions available online.

St Michael's Players is one of London’s longest-standing drama groups, having staged its first production in 1949. Celebrating their 70th Anniversary next year. The non-professional theatre company, based at St Michael’s Centre, Elmwood Road, Chiswick, performs four plays a year.
