On Thursday 19 October, at 7.00pm in St Nicholas Church, Church Street, W4 2PJ, the graphic designer and design historian Simon Loxley will talk on ‘The Brilliant Parade. Inspiration into Print, Chiswick and Hammersmith 1809­1982¹.

He will describe the place of our area in the history of private presses and typography over the past two centuries, from the Chiswick Press through William Morris and the Kelmscott Press, T.J. Cobden-Sanderson, Emery Walker and the Doves Press, to Edward Johnston and beyond.

Entrance is £7.00 (concessions £5.00; free to Friends of St Nicholas Church); doors open at 6.30pm, when refreshments will be available.

This event is organised by the Friends of St Nicholas Church, Chiswick.
