A fun day out for all the family is promised, while raising money for a worthy cause, at Southfield Primary School's annual 'Sunflower Fete' on Saturday 17 June 2017, from 11am to 4pm on Chiswick Back Common.

Whether you're aged 3 or 93, there will be something for everyone and all money raised at the fete will be used to buy much needed playground equipment for the school. From fairground rides which will delight the children, to food and drink, you'll find a variety of stalls and activities to keep the whole family entertained.

Thrill seekers will have fun on the 'Last Man Standing' ride, trying to beat the ride, while the little ones can bounce the day away on the bouncy castle. You can try your hand at traditional games such as skittles and the coconut shy, while bargain hunters will find an Aladdin's cave of items on the bric-a-brac stall. Get crafty in the craft tent, then enter the raffle for your chance to win lots of exciting prizes including an Apple Watch.

Make sure you sample the refreshments on offer. The Sunflower Café will be stocking homemade cakes and bakes, the quality of which would give Bake Off a run for its money! And for a taste of flavours from around the world, The International Food Stall will be stocking some wonderful vegetarian dishes. No fete is complete without a barbeque.

If this all sounds like thirsty work, then escape to the Pimms tent for a refreshing beverage.

Last year the Sunflower Fete attracted hundreds of visitors, and raised almost £10,000. It is hoped that even more of the local community will come along to support the school and that this year's fete will even exceed last year's total, enabling the school to purchase new playground equipment.

Fete organizers Sarah Parkinson & Michaella Standen say “We have so many exciting attractions this year and we are looking forward to welcoming families to come and join in the fun on Saturday”.

Mr Simon Prebble, Head teacher at Southfield Primary School says, “The Sunflower Fete is a much anticipated date on the school calendar. First and foremost, it is a lot of fun, it’s a great family day out and there is something for everyone.”
