Comedy for Sunday evenings with Maria Hodson and Geraldine Coyne

The Aspidistras relaunch their monthly comedy show at the Tabard Theatre.

Chase your Sunday blues away with a mix of stand up and sketches, featuring the Aspidistras and guests – if.comedy award nominee Pippa Evans, Daily Telegraph Open Mic finalist and Extras actor Rich Morris, sublime storyteller Rupert Waring, and many many more.

Meet a host of charming characters, from a bewildered Tim Burton to psychotic librarian Julie Andrews, renowned novelist JP Lovelock, self-harming singer Loretta Maine, privately educated plant Ivy, rabble-rousing shepherdess Phebe, oppressed heiress Jebediah Smythe-Coburg, and Mam and Dad bear amongst others.

The Aspidistras are Gerardine Coyne and Maria Hodson.

Gerardine and Maria met at Edinburgh University and went on to train at Guildford School of Acting and The Poor School respectively, before reuniting to write and perform comedy.
