Chiswick's Union of Catholic Mothers hosted an Autumn Lunch and Fashion show on Tuesday 1st November at The Devonshire House.

Organised in aid of Chiswick based charity International Refugee Trust, the event began with a champagne and canape reception followed by a talk on the work of the I.R.T.

After a delightful lunch of roast cornfed chicken with pearl barley risotto, baby leeks and truffle jus gras, the ladies - and their Parish Priest Monsignor James Curry - were treated to a catwalk fashion show.  Featuring renowned designers such as Jenny Packham and outfits from Phase 8, the six models, all members of the U.C.M., raised rapturous applause from their delighted audience.

An amazing array of raffle prizes had been generously donated and meant that the raffle alone raised well over £800 and the £1,800 total.

The U.C.M. and the I.R.T. would like to thank all those who attended and supported this event making it an outstanding success.
