Do you collect postcards of West London, or naughty cards by Donald McGill? Scotland or The Titanic? Whatever interests you in postcards or local history, the West London Postcard Club cater for it. Non-members are welcome at their meetings on payment of £2.

They meet usually on the 3rd Friday of every month (except January and August) at Chiswick Town Hall, Heathfield Terrace, London W4 4JN, and they always have an invited dealer, with stock, from 7.15pm onwards, and a speaker at 8pm. (Recent talks have ranged from "Buffalo Bill's British Wild West" to "Breweries in the Borough of Hounslow" - and from "The Beijing Olympics" to "New Zealand Railways".)

The next meeting is on Friday 21st February, when David Bright, a Hounslow Heritage Guide, will be taking "An Armchair Tour of Brentford", concentrating on the river and canal related industries of the area.

They also run a Postcard Fair twice a year as well as a couple of outings, and all members receive a quarterly newsletter. The next Postcard Fair will be at Chiswick Town Hall on Saturday 15th March, with hundreds of thousands of cards for sale, old and modern, as well as stamps, ephemera and cigarette cards.

To find out more please phone 020 8903 3494 or 01372 725363 - or just come along to the next meeting.
