An extra sparkle came to Chiswick this Thursday after the Christmas lights were switched on by Mayor Felicity Barwood.

She was joined at the ceremony held outside the George IV by Cllr Paul Lynch and Richard Fuller of Fullers Brewery whose generous sponsorship enabled the Christmas lights to shine this year.

After carol singing led by pupils and staff from St Mary's RC Primary School and speeches from both the Mayor and Mr Fuller, the High Road was illuminated by a cascade of festive lights.

Richard Fuller, sales director of Fuller Smith & Turner, said “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Chiswick Christmas lights this year. Fuller’s has been a part of Chiswick life for over 160 years and this sponsorship will strengthen our ties with the local community even further.”

Cllr Paul Lynch, chair of the local area committee, added "Christmas is always a very exciting time of year, and the lights once again bring a very festive atmosphere to the High Road and nearby streets.  I would like to thank Fullers for their support of this year’s Christmas lights, which bring pleasure to shoppers and visitors alike.
