The Chiswick Flower Market is aiming to be a one stop shop for gifts as well as a great day out this Sunday (4 December).

As well as the usual stalls there will be massed choirs, Father Christmas, free kids’ theatre shows, wreath-making and more.

There will be seasonal flowers and plants with waxed amaryllis bulbs on sale from local supplier Greige and many stalls will be offering British grown flowers. The Fire Station will be serving mulled wine, and there will be B’elicious hot crepes to keep visitors warm. From festive silver willow to door wreaths and mistletoe to natural decorations and traditional poinsettias, there should be something for everyone.

The Old Market Place part of Chiswick High Road will be lit up by a specially commissioned and designed lighting display created in association with the award-winning art department of Chiswick School. Most of the primary and secondary schools in Chiswick, and several adult choirs and bands (including the United Brass Social Club) will be playing festive music. Father Christmas will be visiting the market and may even have some tiny gift

The Flower Market is offering free craft activities and two free children’s theatre shows in George IV’s Boston Room - HO HO HO (A REALLY BIG NON-PANTO SHOW). An interactive show for all children by the Really Big Pants Company (11am and 12.30). Come early to help make paper chains, and take away a craft gift at the end. Book here to be sure of your place or just turn up.

Create your own wreath at festive workshops with Hen Corner or make an original gift terrarium with London Terrariums (booking required).

There will also be a Vegan Market which will run alongside the Flower Market, and will bring together a variety of vegan street food vendors, artisan bakers, craft brewers, ethical jewellers, sustainable chandlers, local artists, zero-waste champions, environmental charities and more.

The market runs from 9am - 3.30pm in Old Market Place, Chiswick High Road, (W4 2DR).
