This is the first attempt to run for a general election for the senior medical researcher, with a specialist interest in immunology. She ran as a candidate for the Riverside ward in the last local elections in 2014 and also stood as a Green Party candidate in the Brentford by-election in 2015 following the departure of Ruth Cadbury when she was elected MP. She also stood for the Greens in 2010 in the Syon ward.

Dr Scott joined the Green Party in 2009 after becoming particularly interested in environmental issues when Terminal 5 opened at Heathrow.

Dr Scott is a medical researcher. Her priorities for the NHS are better provision of patient care, particularly mental health care. She continues to campaign against the expansion of Heathrow airport. Having lived in Grove Park for more than thirty years she feels passionate about the need to preserve the special character of the area.

She helped set up Chiswick Transition, to encourage people to live more sustainably by growing their own food or using locally farmed produce where possible. She is committed to raising awareness of climate change and declining oil supplies.

Daniel Goldsmith, from Chiswick, who ran for the party in the 2015 general election, polled 2120 votes, a 2.2% increase on the 2010 performance.

As well as Brexit, the main focus of the Green Party campaign in this constituency will be the problem of air pollution and opposition to a Third Runway at Heathrow.

The Green Party have decided not to run a candidate in Ealing and Acton Central in a pact with Labour MP Rupa Huq. The Green Party local group said the decision was based on three public commitments made by current MP, Rupa Huq, to campaign for voting reform, to oppose a hard Brexit and to oppose a third runway and airport expansion.

In the last election Tom Sharman won 1,841 votes for the Greens in that constituency.
