The Indian restaurant and takeaway, Grove Park Tandoori on Station Parade, has closed.

It is believed to have gone bankrupt.

A notice appeared in the window recently saying that bailiffs had been in the premises.

Local people are unaware of the story behind the closure but say that the restaurant had been closed for long periods.

The restaurant was a long-time institution in the parade of shops opposite the Chiswick railway station at Station Parade.

Meanwhile, further along the parade at the former Zenny's restaurant, work appears to be being carried out on a refurbishment.

A licence application has also gone up, in the name of a company called Little Bird, seeking permission to have tables and chairs on the pavement.

The premises has had a chequered career and was once a popular seafood restaurant as well as having been a cafe and various other eating establishments.
