The Autumn term of rehearsals is set to begin for Hogarth Singers and the local choir is seeking to recruit new members.

Directed by Music Director Rupert Gill and accompanied by Andrew Wells the first session takes place on Monday 5 September, 7.30pm-9.30pm at the choir’s concert venue, St Michael and All Angels, Bath Road, (W4 1TT).

The programme this term will feature Johannes Brahm’s Ein Deutsches Requiem op. 45, and Brahm’s Nänie op. 82, leading to a concert on 12 November 2022.

In addition, Hogarth Singers will perform its annual Christmas concert on 10 December.

All are welcome, whether you are a seasoned choral singer or would like to return to singing again, especially tenors and basses.

Hogarth Singers evolved from a choir set up in IBM called The Meistersingers in the early 1980s. It is a registered charity with the intention of promoting a love of choral music and developing public education in the art and science of music in all its aspects by presenting public concerts and recitals.

Membership ranges between 50 – 60 people and they sing a wide range of choral music, both sacred and secular. They sing three concerts each year but also organise other activities which enable the choir to sing in a new setting and to enjoy some more sociable experiences not always involving singing.

Further information is available from the choir's web site or by calling 07341 413884.. They also have a Facebook page
