The Port of London Authority has received a planning application for a houseboat mooring at Strand on the Green.

The application, for the “installation of 3 piles and trestles supports for the mooring of a vessel” is for the location known as Steam Packet Steps, which is the last set of steps past the Bell & Crown pub towards Kew Bridge (opposite Hearne Road).

The request pertains to a "residential vessel", which has been identified as a houseboat.

There are no other houseboats in this area although there are communities of houseboats in Brentford, past Kew Bridge.

Local residents who wish to make any comment relevant to this Application should register them within twenty one days by email to:  briana.hunter@pla.co.ukwho will also provide a location map and drawing of the proposed installation.

Residents can also copy the email to the local resident's association, SoGA- email: info@strandonthegreen.org.uk
