Robbie's pal emerges from the shadows

Chiswick based Jonathan Wilkes becomes a star in his own right

For some time, Jonathan Wilkes has been best known for being the friend of the multi-talented megastar Robbie Williams. Both originally from Stoke, the two men have been friends since childhood. However, this Christmas saw an almost meteoric rise in Jonathan's public profile when he won the Stars In Their Eyes Celebrity Special.

As well as landing the role of regular host of You've Been Framed, Jonathan co-hosted the National Television Awards Party of The Year, aired this Saturday evening, with the beautiful Melanie Sykes.

From Blackpool entertainer to primetime TV presenter in just five years must prove wrong the critics who claimed his only 'talent' was his association with his famous friend.

Since leaving the flat (known as Pop Star Towers) he shared with Robbie Williams in Notting Hill, Jonathan now lives in Chiswick with his fiancée Nikki Wheeler, a former girl band singer turned dancer.

Once plagued by rumours of his and Robbie's personal relationship, fuelled somewhat by matching tattoos, Wilkes is now very happy to talk about his forthcoming nuptials and is hoping that Robbie will do him the great honour of being his Best Man.
