If you've had a baby in the last three years you might need a Mummy MOT to learn how your body has changed during and since giving birth.

A Mummy MOT is part of every new mother's standard post-natal rehabilitation in France and local physiotherapist Maria Elliott believes that mums in this country could benefit just as much.

Maria, who has worked in the women's health area for many years in Chiswick, and is herself a mother of three - has organised a three-hour educational seminar based around the themes of Education, Assessment and Exercise.

The Mummy MOT course will take place on Saturday, April 2nd at the Frances Lumley Studio, (The Hayloft, 3 Bond Street, off Chiswick High Road) from 10 am-1 pm . The cost is £60 per person.

The course will educate you about the changes that have occurred in your body during pregnancy and post-natally. It will teach you how to self-screen and assess your own body, and provide you with an ongoing exercise programme to address pelvic floor issues, rebalance your tummy and back, and improve your general wellbeing.

Maria has also started a weekly Mummy MOT clinic in Chiswick.

For more information on the group course or to book a private appointment, call Maria on

07958 169410 or email themummymot@outlook.com and you can also visit her website for more information.
