A new vicar, Rev. Mike Tufnell, is to take up a position at St Alban's Church on Acton Green.

The community of Christ Church Turnham Green will fund and support Mike as they look to bring St Albans church back to life and develop their other ministries at their base on Town Hall Avenue and the mission hall on Cunnington Street.

Mike has recently finished a curacy in Cockfosters so he will be on board with the local campaign for the Piccadilly line to stop in Chiswick. Mike is married to Michelle and they have two young daughters. He loves food, red wine, golf and Blackadder!

Mike comes from a family where his Dad is a vicar and his two brothers and his brother in law are all also in training to be vicars.

Mike’s current role has had a particular focus on youth and student ministry . He "cannot wait to have the opportunity to be part of something truly extraordinary in bringing St Albans back to life".

A special service to welcome Mike to Chiswick will be held on Sunday 8 June at 4.30 pm at St Alban's Church. Everyone in the community is welcome at this special service.
