A celebration of 150 years of music in Chiswick - Hear The People Sing - will be held on Sunday 15 May at St Paul's Church, Grove Park, (W4 3SB). There will be two performances, at 3.30 pm and 6.30pm.

The concert will feature a cornucopia of musical styles, from the Chiswick Music Hall to the Beatles, Zadok the Priest (Handel), to The Artful Dodger and much more.

An adult choir of 50 and a children's choir of 40 will be joined by several West-End performers, accompanied by a rousing professional orchestra under the direction of the musical supremo Mike Reed.

The concert marks the 150 years since the founding of St. Paul’s Church in Grove Park – and so the 150th anniversary of Grove Park itself.

The show will bring together Bogdan Kominowski (West End shows include lead roles in Jesus Christ Superstar and Elvis), Nathan Elwick (Young Frankenstein), sopranos Rebecca Gresson and Andee-Louise Hypolite and international musical directors Mike Reed (Phantom, Joseph, Bat out of Hell) and Mike Dixon (We Will Rock You, Grease, Jesus Christ Superstar) – and all on your doorstep in Chiswick.

Tickets available online.

Articles such as the one above are integral to what we do. We aim to feature as much as possible on local societies, charities based in the area, fundraising efforts by residents, community-based initiatives and even helping people find missing pets.
