Staff from Pernod Ricard based in Chiswick Park thanked local people for their generosity filling trolleys at Waitrose with food for the Hounslow Community Foodbank.

The group of volunterers said local shoppers had filled over four trolleys with food in the first hour of collection. The event included all 160 of Pernod staff, and was part of the fifth annual Responsib’All Day where all 18,000 Pernod Ricard employees across the world stop their day jobs and focus on giving back to the community.

A total of 160 employees packed and delivered foodboxes, painted and helped with gardening across the borough, as part of company’s global commitment to social responsibility.

Denis O’Flynn, Managing Director, Pernod Ricard UK said, “We were very enthusiastic about rolling up our sleeves on Thursday and having the opportunity to give back to our community. I think it is highly motivating and inspiring for our staff and I’m proud that so many of our employees were out in force making such a big impact.

“We worked with Hounslow Housing, Hounslow Community Foodbox and Groundwork to tackle local issues by raising awareness, funding and donations. Teams packed boxes and organised deliveries as well as decorated and did gardening for worthy local people.

“We work on a global scale trying to address social and responsible drinking issues, but wherever we operate, it’s vital to make a positive impact locally, taking the small actions that add up to a big difference.”
