On Saturday November 1st at 7:30pm at St Michael & All Angels Church, there’s a Petros Singers concert.

The theme is German Romantic Song with works by Mendelssohn, Schubert and Brahms.

The heart of the programme of German Romantic Song is Mendelssohn’s sequence for Corpus Christi: Lauda Sion. This piece is “one of Mendelssohn’s finest works and its neglect is incomprehensible”.

You will also hear Brahms Geistliches Lied, Schubert Psalm 23, Mendelssohn Ave Maria and works by Bruckner and Rheinberger.

The group will be joined by a set of soloists - Lisa Wilson, Martha McLorinan, Ben Thapa and William Gaunt - and accompanied by Jonathan Lilly, Director of Music at Waltham Abbey Church.

Tickets in advance cost £13, with concessions £8. At door tickets are £15, concs £10. Under 12s £1.
