Chiswick's main Post Office at Heathfield Terrace will close for refurbishment on February 10th (at 1730) until February 27th.

The change is part of a three-year investment - the largest in the history of the Post Office - which will see 6,000 branches, or about half the network- changing to a new style interior.

It will offer a more open-plan environment, longer opening hours, and will allow some of the post office services to be available from the retail counter during the shop opening hours.

A notice has been posted in the front window to inform customers, and states that the new branch will offer a "more modern and convenient environment".

During its closure customers are advised to use Hammersmith Post office in the Kings Mall, or King Street post office at 168, King Street as an alternative.

The post office counters opening hours will be Mon-Sat 0900-1730 (closed Sundays) while some post office services are available at the shop counter - opening hours Mon-Friday- 0700-2100 and Sat/Sun 0700-1800.
