The plan for Chiswick is to get a 162-bed Premier Inn hotel near the Hogarth Roundabout has moved a stage closer with the lodging of a planning application for a change of use.

The hotel will be located in the vacant office building, Axis House, at the Hogarth Business Park.

The Whitbread Group, which owns Premier Inns, plan to convert the existing vacant office building to hotel use with external alterations, landscaping and associated works. The budget hotel chain is well-known for its distinctive purple logo, and for the advertisements featuring comedian Lenny Henry.

Chiswick To Get A Premier Inn Hotel

Premier has almost 700 hotels in the UK with over 59,000 homes- the nearest ones to Chiswick are in Hammersmith, Brentford and Ealing. The company is expanding with a target of 85,000 rooms by 2020. The Whitbread group also owns Costa Coffee chains, Beefer, Brewers Fayre and other hospitality outlets.

A large part of the Hogarth Business Park closed in February 2014 and part of the site is currently being developed as a mixed housing project by Berkeley Homes, known as Chiswick Gate. The announcement of a hotel is the latest in the development of the Business Park, which had been lying mostly vacant for several years. The complex of offices and warehouses at Hogarth Roundabout replaced the factory where boot polish was produced many years ago.
