Queens Park Rangers football team wore black armbands and gave a minute's applause before a recent fixture in honour of Chiswick resident and fan Malcolm Oakley.

This video shows how the Chiswick resident and QPR supporter was honoured at Loftus Rd prior to the team's fixture with Leicester City.

Mr. Oakley, who was a long time resident of Staveley Gardens, was associated with the club for fifty years. He worked in the Box office but was the club's most ardent fan. In 2013 he won the club's Supporter of the Year Award. He had not missed a home fixture in fifty years.

Friends and colleagues have paid tribute to the Chiswick resident, who died on November 20th. "A brilliant fan. A brilliant man" said one.

Prayers were also said for him at St Nicholas Church.
