QVC One Of Britain's 'Top Employers'

The global shopping channel is based at Chiswick Park

QVC, the largest TV shopping channel in Britain, which is based in Chiswick Business Park, has been named as one of Britain's Top Employers for 2014 by the Top Employers Institute.

The results were announced at an awards ceremony on 11 March 2014, with 78 companies being certified.

 The assessment process focuses on a number of criteria, such as communications, corporate social responsibility, business strategy, talent and career development, as well as wellbeing and work-life balance. The results are compared against an international standard and all answers are independently audited.

 Frank Robinson, Director of Human Resources at QVC UK,said it was the first time that QVC had been through the assessment and they were proud that the high standards set had been recognised.

QVC UK is a world leader in brand name products ranging from beauty, fashion, jewellery, home & leisure, electronics, garden and DIY. The main TV channel, which is available to 26.9 million digital terrestrial, satellite and cable homes, broadcasts 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with 17 hours of live programming each day (from 09:00 to 02:00 UK time).

QVC moved its headquarters to Chiswick last year. The shopping channel has an annual turnover of nearly £400 million. It employs 2,000 people between its Chiswick headquarters and its distribution centre near Liverpool.
