Construction of the new rockery in the corner of Turnham Green is now complete and the Friends are looking for volunteers to help bring the new landscape to life. On Tuesday Dec 11 from 11am - 2.30 pm. volunteers are needed to help plant hundreds of bulbs for some bright spring colour and a lovely mix of sustainable perennial plants and low shrubs.

Anyone who enjoys gardening is welcome and you can come for as little or long as you like. In this cold weather, you aren't expected to stay all day (unless you want to)…. an hour or so will be much appreciated! Wrap up warm and if you have gardening gloves and a trowel or small fork please bring these along.

The volunteers will be working with partners from Groundwork (Thames Valley), John Laing plc and contractor Kingston Garden Services.

Though experienced gardeners are especially welcome, there will be an expert gardener designer, Portia Baker, on hand to guide us through the work.

For more information call Jan Hewlett on 8994 6321.
