Police have said that the 79-year old man missing from his home in south London has been found safe and well in Chiswick.

Rupert Bartley who suffers from Alzheimers, had vanished on Thursday (Jan 16) from central London. He was located in Chiswick on Friday afternoon.

Police said he would be immediately reunited with his family.

Mr. Bartley disappeared at around 3.15pm in the Oxford Circus area.

He was seen getting of a route 12 bus and walking towards Regent Street. There had been concern about his condition as he is on medication.

Details of how he was found in Chiswick have not been revealed.
